About us

We have a lifetime in very high technology, long-life, high reliability electronics. In 1997 we set up MHA Intelect to service military, aerospace, space and medical markets in the UK and Australia.

In 2008, as the LED achieved 90 lumens per watt we developed and patented our own LED technology and set about learning all about lighting.

We spun out of MHA and went to market in 2010.

Over the 14 years we have designed, supplied and in most cases installed lighting for hundreds of customers including major blue-chips such as Microsoft, Wrigley, Diageo, AKW Global, many Councils and Airports across the UK.

Note that we don’t only work with blue-chips; we quote those only to indicate the high quality of our designs, products and installations.

Meet The Team

Tom Harrison

Tom Harrison

DIRECTOR

Tom has spent his working life in high technology, high reliability electronics. He worked for BAe Systems for nearly 2 decades holding positions in manufacturing, major procurement and business development. He left BAe in the early ‘90s when they decided they no longer wanted to be a manufacturing company. He spent 5 years in ‘Contract Manufacturing’, still in Aerospace & Military sectors.

He set up MHA Intelect in 1997 designing and supplying complex PCBs for Military, Aerospace, Space and Medical markets.

When the LED delivered 90 lumens per watt in 2008, MHA focussed on developing lighting solutions that would be highest in performance & reliability, and as a result very long-life.

Intelect Lighting is a spin out of MHA.

Dan Harrison

Dan Harrison

DIRECTOR

Dan joined the MHA Engineering team in 2004. He is an IPC C.I.D. qualified PCB designer, designing in Mentor, Cadence and Altium platforms; and Soldworks and Inventor for mechanical designs and thermal simulation.

He has designed some of the highest technology PCBs (and guided designers of the highest complexity PCBs in the UK and Australia on “design for manufacture and test”).

Dan joined the lighting team in 2013 on returning from Australia after supporting major clients’ new product design & development programme, including ASKAP, the most sensitive radio telescope on the planet.

Dan has designed and developed many lighting products and has expertise in photometric testing as well as lighting control
